Even before October 7, many thoughtful Jewish leaders were making the case for a “non-Zionist” or even “anti-Zionist” Judaism. Those voices grew stronger after Israel’s response to October 7. In the wake of the 78th Yom Ha’Atzmaut, we’ll explore why the State of Israel is still needed, even while considering the challenges it poses for Diaspora Jews today.
