Arguably, Jewish humor is born out of the chasm between the "chosen people's" destined glory and their desperate straits. Did it stem from ancient texts or develop as a modern coping strategy for ancient tsures? We’ll trace Jewish humor through the Torah, the Talmud and Tevye.
