Inspired by Sholem Aleichem’s short story, The Third Daughter is the tale of a young woman lured from Russia into prostitution in Buenos Aires in the late 1800s — and her courageous struggle to free herself from this bondage while bringing down those responsible for it. A powerful novel about finding courage in the face of danger and hope in the face of despair, The Third Daughter brings to life a dark period of Jewish history and gives a voice to victims whose truth deserves to finally be told. The Third Daughter was a Finalist in the 2020 Jewish Book Council Award (Book Club category).
