The JCC Greenwich Teen Action Committee (JTAC) is a community service group of teens doing good together in the community. It works to bring area middle and high school students together to lead, organize, implement and participate in community service projects in and around Greenwich. Projects are determined by the teens and are meant to connect with various agencies serving different populations in need.
Our meetings are approximately every other week on Sunday evenings and projects are scheduled on additional dates throughout the year. Past projects have included: toiletry drive to benefit victims of domestic violence, serving homeless men and women through Midnight Run, bowling events with differently abled kids, raising awareness and funds for Supermarketing for Seniors, participating in the SNAP Food Challenge, fundraising to purchase a freezer for the Kosher Food Pantry and more.
JTAC has worked with many local agencies including but not limited to Areyvut, Met Council, YWCA Greenwich, Friendship Circle, Bronx Jewish Community Council, JFS Greenwich, Schoke JFS of Fairfield County, Midnight Run, Leket Israel and the Emunah Children's Center in Afula, Israel.
No nominations or applications to join.
